I fell into my yogic journey in my late teens whilst living in Germany. The language was foreign to me - I had no idea what was going on in the practice, but a deeply felt sense told me something special was there. Those first memories of really tuning in, experiencing the movement, the stillness, and holding that space for myself to re-connect with my intrinsic nature are something that I aim to draw on in every class I facilitate.
Yoga has since followed me around the world on my journey of self-exploration where I’ve delved into different lineages and ideas, learning from the people who inspire me most, both on and off the mat. To date, I’ve facilitated the practice of yoga and meditation in Germany, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Australia.
With a deep appreciation of the benefits that yoga and mindfulness practices have on our overall well-being and mental state, I now specialise in yoga & meditation for the workplace and to promote positive mental health.
My creative aim is to facilitate a thirst for curiosity in space free from judgment; one where we can explore flows that are layered and challenge traditional asana and ideas to translate into our modern-day lives. With the belief that everything begins at our centre, my classes typically have a strong focus on the core, but most importantly, they are an eclectic journey that will always start and end with the breath;
‘prana’ – our life force.

The students were highly engaged and enjoyed moments of relaxation, mental and physical strength as well as the many little hints and tips regarding controlling their breathing which they can implement throughout their Year 12 year.

Katie instructed me on mastering the technique of 'up dog' and 'down dog' with a focus on breathing. I can now bring these skills into my regular practice.
