I fell into my yogic journey in my late teens whilst living in Germany. The language was foreign to me - I had no idea what was going on in the practice, but a deeply felt sense told me something special was there. Those first memories of really tuning in, experiencing the movement, the stillness and holding that space for myself is something that I aim to draw on in every class I teach.
Yoga has since followed me around the world on my journey of self-exploration where I’ve delved into different lineages and ideas, learning from the people who inspire me most on and off the mat.
With a deep appreciation of the benefits that yoga and mindfulness practices have on our overall well-being and mental state, I now specialise in yoga for the workplace and students.
To date I’ve facilitated the experience of yoga in Germany, South Africa, India, and Melbourne;
Completed my Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching - Australian Yoga Academy, Advanced Diploma of Meditation as Lifestyle Medicine - BIYOME, Yin Yoga TT - Karina Smith, Mindfulness-based Stillness Meditation TT - Yarra Valley Living Centre, Pilates TT - Studio Pilates.
My creative aim is to facilitate a thirst for curiosity in space free from judgement; one where we can explore flows that are layered and challenge traditional asana and ideas to translate into our modern-day lives. With the belief that everything begins at our centre, my classes typically have a strong focus on the core, but most importantly, they are an eclectic journey that will always start and end with the breath;
‘prana’ – our life force.
